Overview

TrophyDex ("the App") is an Android application that lets you browse public PlayStation Network (PSN) trophy profiles. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Information We Collect

PSN Profile Data (Public): When you search for a PSN username, the App retrieves publicly available data from PlayStation Network APIs including profile name, avatar, level, trophy counts, and trophy lists. This data is already public on PSN.

Account Data: If you create an account, your email address is stored securely (via Supabase) for authentication. Your verified PSN ID and any premium entitlement are linked to your account.

Local Storage: The App stores the following data on your device:

• The last searched PSN ID (for quick access on next launch)
• Your wishlist and deal preferences
• Custom banner image you choose from your gallery
• Onboarding completion flag
• PSN ownership verification status (if you verify)

If you create an account, your chosen profile banner and trophy showcase are also saved to our server so they appear on your public profile and survive reinstalls. The other local data listed above stays on your device.

PSN Ownership Verification

TrophyDex offers an optional feature to verify that you own a PSN account. This works by asking you to temporarily place a short code in your PSN bio. The App reads your public bio to confirm the code, then immediately discards it. We do not store your bio content or any personal information from this process.

The verification result (a simple "verified" flag for your PSN ID) is stored on your device and linked to your account.

Data We Do Not Collect

• We never collect or store your PSN account password or login credentials
• We do not sell your personal data to third parties
• We do not collect your precise location, contacts, messages, or call history
• Creating an account is optional — you can browse public PSN profiles without one

Third-Party Services

PlayStation Network: PSN profile and trophy data is retrieved from public PlayStation Network APIs. Your use of PSN data is subject to Sony Interactive Entertainment's Terms of Service.

PS Store Data: Game pricing and store information may be sourced from publicly accessible PlayStation Store pages and community sources.

Railway / Backend: The App communicates with a backend server hosted on Railway to fetch PSN data and store your account personalization.

Scheduled Background Jobs: Our backend runs daily and weekly scheduled jobs to compute league rankings, detect trophy anniversaries ("On This Day"), surface "Trophy of the Week" candidates, and notify you when a friend earns a platinum. These jobs only process data already stored for your account; no new personal information is collected by them.

Push Notifications

If you create an account, the App registers an anonymous push notification token (provided by Google Firebase Cloud Messaging) with our backend. This token is used to deliver opt-in notifications such as "On This Day" anniversaries, weekly trophy highlights, friend platinum alerts, and wishlist price drops. The token does not identify you personally, is not shared with third parties, and you can disable any individual notification category from the Account screen at any time.

Advertising

Google AdMob: The free version of the App displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect your device's Advertising ID (GAID) to serve personalized ads. You can opt out of personalized ads in your device's Google Settings. See Google's Privacy Policy.

Premium Subscription: TrophyDex offers an optional Premium subscription managed through Google Play Billing and RevenueCat. Purchase data is processed by Google and RevenueCat. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

Camera & Photo Access

The App may request access to your photo library solely to allow you to set a custom profile banner image. This permission is optional — the App works fully without it.

User Accounts & Deletion

If you choose to create an account, your email address is stored securely via Supabase for authentication purposes.

You may delete your account at any time from the Account screen inside the App, or by visiting /delete-account from any browser. Account deletion permanently removes your email, PSN link, profile personalization (banner, showcase), friends list, and push notification token from our servers.

Analytics

Amplitude: The App uses Amplitude to understand how features are used and improve the product. It records anonymous usage events — for example which screens you open, the steps of the PSN-linking flow, and whether a purchase was made — associated with a randomly generated device identifier (and your public PSN ID once you link one). Amplitude does not receive your password, email, or any PlayStation credentials. See Amplitude's Privacy Policy.

Children's Privacy

TrophyDex is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Terms of Use

By using TrophyDex, you agree to the following terms:

• The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• You will only use the App to view public PSN profiles and publicly available data
• You will not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the App or its backend service
• We reserve the right to update these terms at any time; continued use constitutes acceptance
• We are not responsible for any loss of data or damages arising from use of the App

The App retrieves publicly available information from PlayStation Network. We are not affiliated with Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC in any way.
